Two Rising Sophomores Shine At The Hoop Group Future All-American Camp

Taj Price is still growing into his body, but that does not stop the 6’5 power forward from producing. A class of 2015 prospect out of Newark Eastside (NJ), Price has a very good frame and nice length. He does a superb job of scoring the basketball down low and showed off the ability to toss in a hook shot.

During early scrimmages, Harrison seemed to make an impact in every aspect of the game. He was able to knock down jumpers from both mid and long-range and his ability to distribute the ball was showcased with a few behind the back passes.

After four days of high-energy instruction and competitive gameplay, the best of the best at Future All-American Camp were named to all-star teams.

Getting it Done This Summer...

NEWARK EASTSIDE WINS PLAYAZ CLUB “JUST JUNE” LEAGUE!

Paterson,N.J………… The Playaz Club ran their annual” Just June” league for the month of June and Newark Eastside prevailed over Hackensack 47-38! Sophomore Ahmad Harrison led the scoring with 14 points along with Junior Ishmael Sanogo who was voted MVP of the league! Hackensack was led by Senior Fugene Marshall who scored 10 points! East Side reached the finals by defeating Hudson Catholic 26-25 as the Hawks played without Senior Reggie Cameron and Sophomore Nassir Barrino! Hackensack reached the finals by beating Teaneck 70-68 and overcoming a 38 point effort from Senior Shakir Lindsey, who played without Senior Joel Hernandez!

Sanogo is a long, athletic wing prospect with a high upside and a nice stepback jumper that he consistently uses as a weapon. Sanogo is a force in transition, and makes it a point to run the floor after every missed shot. While he has a solid all-around game, Sanogo could be more focused and active on the defensive end.
