RUTHERFORD, N.J. – High-school senior Jamal Reid (Newark, NJ/East Side) has signed an athletic financial aid agreement to continue his basketball career with Felician College, Felician head men's coach David DeFerrari announced today.
Reid, a 6-foot, 170-pound point guard, is ranked among the top 60 seniors in New Jersey by the recruiting newsletter NJ Hoops. According to NJ Hoops, he averaged 11.2 points per game in 2011-12 for Newark East Side High. He helped lead the Red Raiders to a 19-6 record and a final NJ Hoops ranking of 25th in the state.

"We are very pleased to have Jamal join our basketball family," said DeFerrari, who is entering his fourth season with the Golden Falcons. "He is a quality young man who comes from quality high-school and AAU programs, and we expect him to contribute right away."
Felician is a member of NCAA Division II and competes in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). The Golden Falcons will look to bounce back from a 7-19 overall won-lost record in 2011-12
